Tony DeCicco in his art studio documenting the hand-drawn process of pop surrealism and graphite illustration

Stepping into the River: The Launch of TonyDArt.com

"It is not possible to step into the same river twice" - Heraclitus of Ephesus.

Art is exactly like that for me. Whether I’m working in the heavy "physical molasses" of oil and acrylic or navigating the high-speed data of digital illustration in Clip Studio Paint, the goal is the same: capturing the data of a moment before it shifts.

I’ve spent a lifetime moving between mediums. To me, a canvas isn’t just a surface; it’s a workspace for problem-solving. My traditional foundations are built on the tactile - the smell of linseed oil and the grit of graphite.

Currently I have scaled those traditional techniques into the digital frontier keeping that human touch.

Whether it’s a custom 13x19 character poster or a vinyl sticker of a Meditating Squid, every piece starts with the same analytical spark.

This site, TonyDArt.com, isn’t just a gallery. It’s an archive. It’s a place where I’ll be documenting the "output of what goes on upstairs", moving fluidly between realism and surrealism because the world doesn't stay in one lane, and neither should my work.

I’m glad you’re here for the launch. Stick around - we’re just getting locked in.

-Tony D.
